1992

Embarking on a Spiritual Odyssey

The Journey of Kerala Christian Assembly (KCA) traces its roots back to 1992 when a handful of Malayalee families from the state of Kerala, India, came together to establish a church. The seeds of faith were sown, and the journey of KCA began.

1993 ~

Founding Years and Pastoral Leadership

In its formative years, the fellowship appointed Rev. Dr. George Thomas as a temporary pastor. The mantle of leadership passed to Rev. Dr. K C Chacko from Philadelphia in 1993, who, along with his family, faithfully served the church for 7 years.

2000 ~

A Period of Growth and Development

In the year 2000, Pastor James Abraham from Dallas was entrusted with the pastoral responsibility. Pastor Abraham, alongside his family, relocated to Toronto and led the congregation for the next 4 years. During this transformative period, prayers were answered, leading to the acquisition of a 1.2-acre plot of land. On October 27, 2002, we celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for our future home—a 14,000 sq ft church building. The dedication service for the new church building took place on November 15, 2003.

2004 ~

Stewardship of Leadership

The leadership baton passed to Pastor John Thomas from California in 2004, who faithfully served the church until August 2009. Following him, Rev. Dr. Jose K. George took on the responsibility of pastoring KCA from April 2010 to June 2014. Rev. Dr. T P Varughese served diligently from October 2014 to October 2018. Pr. Jerin Thomas played a crucial role as the Youth Pastor from December 2015 to December 2019, catering to the needs of our young generation. In May 2019, Pr. Moncy M. John was appointed as the Senior Pastor, steadfastly serving the church and the community until May 2023.

2023 ~

Current Leadership and Beyond

Currently, Pr. Steve George is the Senior Pastor of KCA, taking the helm from December 2023. His dedication extends beyond the church walls, catering to the broader needs of both the congregation and the community at large. Pr. Jonathan Samuel joined as the Youth Pastor in early 2023, ensuring the spiritual growth of our young members.

Throughout its journey, Kerala Christian Assembly has maintained a steadfast commitment to its Pentecostal heritage—worshiping Jesus Christ and proclaiming the complete biblical truth. Our overarching goal is to serve as a channel of blessing to our members, our community, and the world at large.
